Monday.com - Implementation & Integration

Synopsis:

Monday.com implementation for a creative advertising agency serving global sports & gaming brands.

Detailed Description:

Supported by 3rd party technical resources from Monday.com, a Make.com implementation partner, and their existing ERP vendor, I was responsible for providing the planning & project documentation for this project.

Aside from the core project management role, there was also a need for technical support on data mapping and API documentation with several integrations with additional tools such as DocuSign and Google Calendar, which I was able to support with due to my previous experience with iPaaS solutions.

The use case for Monday.com within the agency was primarily as a resource allocation and scheduling tool, so we made use of the Monday.com portfolio board features, which allowed the company to allocate and de-allocate resources across a whole project at once. The benefit here will be driven from greater visibility of upcoming projects from the sales pipeline in Hubspot (CRM), and what the likely impact of those deals would have on future resource availability across their creative, account management and talent management teams.

At the end of my engagement I was tasked with writing up the requirements gathering documentation for handover to the technical consultant supporting their ERP, Monday and Make.com, as well as ensuring we had sufficiently budgeted for consultancy and licensing costs.

The decision was taken not to renew after the initial term, as the business felt they could resource the remainder of the planning & rollout activities internally, as they prepared to implement the software with an initial group of users in January 2024.
